Dead sword W/Rt build tanks well but can only take down one Vermin mob at a time.
VWK, Vengeful Weapon, Cyc Axe, Bonetti's, Watch Yourself, Dolyak Sig, Healing Sig and Resilient Weapon (works well to keep the degen down so you have plenty of time to build adrenaline for Bonetti's).

In Hard Mode it works easier to go with a sword.

It's the way i do it.
Only requirement is that you don't aggro too much Vermin at once or you're toast.
This is my build.

[skill]Hundred Blades[/skill][skill]Standing Slash[/skill][skill]Galrath Slash[/skill][skill]Flail[/skill][skill]Dolyak Signet[/skill][skill]Vigorous Spirit[/skill][skill]Live Vicariously[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill]

Attributes:
Strength: 11+1+1
Swordsmanship: 12+1
Healing Prayers: 8
Smiting Prayers: 2

Equipment:

Furious Sword of Enchanting with either 'Strength and Honor' or 'Guided by Faith' inscription
Shield of Devotion with 'Sheltered by Faith' inscription

W/Rt can tank 10-12 vermin at a time - agro isn't a problem, at least not where your health is concerned. Taking them down is another matter.

It's an easy build - Resilient Weapon, Healing Sig, Watch Yourself and Cyc Axe are optional when tackling one mob at a time. A bit more damage when VWK is down would be handy so maybe Riposte & Deadly Riposte, but then energy might become a problem. Toss in Sprint if you over-agro.

Build works fine, but the drops are crap.

Made 4runs in hard mode, got about 6k, just some vermin hides and crappy non max purples and one chest(crappy modded req10 celestial shield)

Also made 4runs in normal mode with the same build, that made 16,5k. 2greens which i sold for 4k ea and alot of improved sale value drops

Those runs you did in Normal - are they in the same place? If so, was it shreader's talons you managed to sell for 4k? If so, how did you manage that?!

I've done a few runs here in Normal (since HM was released) and got vastly reduced drops from the old days, as most of the drops were white/blue anyway. Will try HM later.

Cheers.

I've picked up a couple of gold req9 max celestial swords and axes in a handful of runs.

[edit] a few more runs and i've added a req9 celestial hammer & bow and a req9 crenellated sword. None perfect yet, but damn close.

Dropped tactics to 0, bumped str to 16 - replaced Heal Sig with I Will Survive and Watch Yourself with Sprint. Dead easy build, very forgiving.

They used to be my favorite farm before the AoE scatter nerf, round up the entire room and bash on the boss with cyclone and triple chop, think of it , i might have to do this just to relive the moments.

I've gotten two max 15>50 celestial sword and bow from this in pre-hardmode days.

You allso might give Nahpui Quarter a try. It's quite easy to farm with a 55hp build (watch out for the star light's nightmare weapon). I wanted a perfect crennelated sword, I didn't get one, my friend did... Well I got an overload of celestials, but thats it...

I farmed Vermin a couple days ago in hard mode. Its too time consuming and the drops are uber-gay.

Go chest run ftw~

i use same build but i use sever instead of standing slash (that -3 to stop boss's regen) and sun and moon instead of flail (though i think flail is better). vermin are dead easy, and i have to admit that the drops are not very nice. great build, nice exp (plus 50% off HM)

Just use the same build as the UW solo but boost strength and you can farm them just fine, only have some trouble with the boss but other than that it goes pretty fast if you only aggro one group at a time.

I tried 55hp farming them in Hard Mode... and they just heal themselves up before coming back to attack some more. It is completely useless... -_-;

I couldn't even beat one group....

I want those Celestial Weapons so badly... ;_;
